Medit Inc.’s portable Extreme LED light handles for endoscopes are easy to use substitute for bulky halogen or metal halide light sources. These Extreme light handles feature a high intensity LED element, which produces well over 50,000 Lux of illumination, and an adjustable intensity control lever, to vary the illumination for different inspection areas, including areas with reflective surfaces.

These units work with both rigid and flexible endoscopes / borescopes, and some flexible fiberscopes too. They produce a bright focused yellow light, which is softer on reflective surfaces. Power is provided by a rechargeable lithium ion battery, which runs for 45 minutes on full power (intensity), and charges in 2 hours. The LED element itself should last for over 1,000,000 hours per bulb.
